This is a gem of authentic Italian food in a relaxed setting. Everything is fresh and delicious as prepared by Chef Mauro and served by his family. His friendly wife Tina runs the front of the house and is a terrific baker. The fig torte was fantastic and we loved the limoncello, an old family recipe. We had a great time and look forward to going back.

Immediately upon walking into La Dolce Vita, it is evident that the owners Mauro and Tina know what they are doing. The service was fantastic, and the food was just as wonderful. Ingredients were fresh, and after coming to this restaurant for the last 3 years it has been fantastic every time. If you are looking for authentic and delicious Italian cuisine, look no further than La Dolce Vita.

La Dolce Vita is one of the most unexpectedly amazing authentic Italian restaurants. The owners, Mauro and Tina, are clearly passionate about their cuisine and the customers enjoyment. Couldn’t have enjoyed more! :)

What an awesome experience, straight out of Italy. We would have never found this gem on our own but where introduced by a friend on his invitation. Tina, the co- owner greeted us at the door like we were family! We were welcomed by the serving staff equally as warmly. We were informed that everything was home made including the desserts. I had to take a picture of the bread and oil/garlic as it was sooo tasty. We had a tough time deciding what to eat but it didn’t really matter what was chosen, it all was sooo delicious. An added touch to the evening was the singer. Even Tina belted out a couple of tunes. The end of the evening was fun when it turned into a bit of a karaoke with a family at the next table. We were introduced to Mauro, the Chef/co-owner and husband of Tina. What a wonderful duo providing passion into both the authentic Italian cuisine and the guest experience. We’ll be back again & again!

If you want authentic Italian food, this is the place to go in Sarasota. Everything was fantastic, from the meals each of us ordered (group of 8), to the service, the greeting by the owner, the timing of everything, and the dessert, which was over the top! Buono!!

We fell in love with La Dolce Vita with the intimate dining experience, exquisite wine knowledge staff and the gastronomic delights!!! La Dolce Vita was appropriately busy however we were well cared for, all evening! I feel fortunate to find this First Class Restaurant for dining when I am in Florida! Bravo 👏 👏👏

REPLY TO OWNER ON REVIEW BELOW: whatever it was should be not used. ORIGINAL REVIEW: such lovely little restaurant with very good food and service. however, the overwhelming smell of air freshener made it extremely difficult to enjoy our meals. air fresheners, perfume, scented candles, etc. are all big no no's in restaurants

At La Dolce Vita, Mauro and Tina offer one of the best and most authentic dining experiences I've ever encountered. My family and I have been here several times and find ourselves continuously more impressed. The quality of the food and service here is unbeatable. I highly recommend the Scialatielli, Gamberi e Asparagi!
